A stronger commitment from German development cooperation to the AfCFTA in Tunisia

Within the framework of the GIZ program to support the AfCFTA in partnership with the African Union, Tunisia was selected, along with four other African countries, by GIZ for the monitoring activities of the AfCFTA project: a national component of this project is launched in Tunisia for the support and capacity building of representatives of the Ministry of Commerce and other relevant Tunisian state parties, who are working together on the AfCFTA agreements.

Signature of the cooperation agreement within the framework of the Zlecaf between the African Union and Germany

This Monday, February 22, 2021, the technical cooperation implementation agreement for the African Continental Free Trade Area (ZLECAF) between the African Union Commission and Germany was signed by the newly re-elected Commissioner at economic development, trade, industry and mining, HE Ambassador Albert Muchanga, in the presence of the German Ambassador to the African Union, Stephan Auer.
